At Newcastle Toastmasters, our weekly meetings are structured, supportive, and designed to help you grow in confidence as a speaker and communicator.

We hold our meetings every Thursday at 7pm at Souths Merewether - 46 Llewellyn Street, Newcastle, NSW.

What to Expect

A typical meeting includes:

  • Prepared Speeches
    Members present speeches they’ve been working on through the Toastmasters program

  • Impromptu Speaking (Table Topics)
    Short, fun speaking activities to help you think and speak on your feet

  • Constructive Feedback
    Supportive evaluations to help speakers improve and build confidence

  • Meeting Roles
    Opportunities to practise leadership, organisation, and facilitation skills

Visiting for the First Time

Guests are always welcome at our meetings!

There’s no pressure to speak on your visit - you’re welcome to simply observe, get a feel for the meeting, and see if it’s the right fit for you.

Your first visit is free!

Our members will make you feel comfortable and guide you through what’s happening.
