Meetings FAQs

The Newcastle Toastmasters Club meetings on Thursdays from 7 pm at Souths Merewether. The club may take breaks on some public holidays and in the summer. See the club calendar for more information.
Every club has its own preferences and requirements. Although walk-in attendance is welcome at the Newcastle Toastmasters Club, we encourage visitors to register for free. Links are available via the calendar.
The Newcastle Toastmasters Club does not require visitors to bring anything in particular to meetings. Although you may prefer to bring a pen and paper, there may be spare pens and you can write on the printed agenda program.
Members may wish to bring guides and other resources to support their speaking assignments.

Toastmasters International requires membership fees to be paid by 1st April and 1st October in their chosen timezone. If you are member of the Newcastle Toastmasters Club, please send your fees to the club's bank account and email the Club Treasurer as early as possible in September and March.
You can apply for membership at the Newcastle Toastmasters Club anytime after visiting a free meeting. We set fees based on the proportion of the semi-annual renewal period, freeing you up to start whenever you are ready.

The Newcastle Toastmasters Club scheduled two short courses in 2024:
- 5th February 2024 - 25th March 2024
- 5th August 2024 - 9th September 2024
Speechcraft short courses are available at the Newcastle Toastmasters Club on Mondays from 7 pm during course sessions at Souths Merewether. Each workshop runs until around 8:30-9 pm.
